Protein, niacin, apple cider vinegar and calcium math questions.

:)I still don't under stand what this all means...and why couldn't I use weight? You told me to measure it out in oz and lbs, did you mean you can't measure it out in size/volume?

When I go for the 18%tomorrow(they are two weeks tomorrow) I can't just scoop out one cup oats and one cup feed right? I'd have to weigh out one ounce oats and 1 ounce feed. Or 1 pound oats and 1 pound feed.:)thanks for your patience.
Am I confused because you wrote down the entire math problem? If so then don't try to teach me math in your reply because it won't stick. Math is scary when it doesn't involve one direct number, such as oats contain 10% protein. :D

But I wanted to learn what I could from your replying.

From my understanding you would measure by weight not volume.

I just gave a new home to some older ducklings, about 11 weeks old. Trying to get a better understanding of the dosing for the brewer's yeast at this point. Will ask on another thread. Since I do not know the content of niacin it contains.

Was given the bags of feed for them, Nutrena 18% chick starter and Mazuri Waterfowl food. The rest of my flock are on either a layer or starter that is soy-free and non-gmo. I am going to have to look into lowering the protein level of the starter eventually since the local brands do not make a flock feed and the layer formula has too much calcium for the males.

If you would like some easier to use math formulas I can provide those for you to use to calculate the amounts, plus explain how to use them.

Thanks

Thanks, I got the mix made, just measured by weight. :).
The overdose information gathered for people isn't realistic, like heart rate increase. So you can does the ducks as much as you want (I mean I wouldn't make it into a mash and Feed it to them, that would just be weird.) because it's water soluble and your bodies will excrete whatever they do not use. I don't know where the side effects of overdosing Neisen came from. You can take as much vitamin C as you want and it doesn't harm you, as come Products are advertised as having 1000% of your daily value of vitamin C. But you can only take up hundred percent of your daily value, right? So this happens with niacin too I think. But this is just my hunch.
I just bought animal brewers yeast from the feed store and it has a scoop in it that has two sides one is a small scoop and one is a large scale. I just use the small scoop and put it in their gallon water jug.
