I’ve looked around but can’t seem to find a definitive answer. What % of protien do 6wk+ Japanese quail need?

I gave mine 27% until they reached 9 weeks, then added scratch and fruit/veg daily. They're doing fine.

As long as they get 24% minimum they'll do fine.

If you give extras don't forget grit.

@007Sean feels they burn out too quickly higher than that. Since he has raised gamebirds his whole life pretty much I trust his judgement.

Very helpful, thanks. They’ll be living on grass so they should get some greens from that, along with veg.
