Protrusion from vent area on chick

This little peepy is doing great this morning! Still eating and drinking well. Very bright and alert! I just have to get the hole closed because I can see the intestine through the hole. I will be doing the superglue today and hope all goes well with that because I think it is the only thing that will close up this hole.

By the time I got to go get new superglue and back home again today, it is almost closed!!! There really wasn't enough of space left to even grasp to pull together. So I am keeping it clean as possible and hoping for the best. I was surprised how quickly this is closing and his vent is working!!!! I was so worried the poop was not coming out the correct place but apparently it is! He is eating & drinking well and peeping like crazy! I have been calling him my miracle baby! LOL I really am hoping the hole closes up and no infection sets in but so far everything is looking good. I also now know to keep an unopened superglue tube on hand at all times because once they are opened, forget using them again! LOL

Yes he looks super ticked in the second picture. Nice job , very good care moma and I betcha he will be all better tomorrow. Except I guess you will keep his butt clean for a little while longer. Maybe he/she could be called Super Girl or Boy.

That stick eye is a great sign. Attitude goes a long way toward healing. What kinda chick is he? Part silkie I think with those blue legs and 5 toes. Could call him "Stinky" due to that early stink eye he gave ya.

LOL...he is giving one heck of a stink eye, isn't he? He is a turken/silkie cross. This little stinky miracle is still doing well. He loves his Momma though and lets me know he wants to be with her and he also has a little NN brother or sister with him this morning so he has some company now!!!

Oh goodness forgot about the name suggestion of super girl or boy. I guess it will be...Super Stinky Miracle!

Thank you! He sure is a fighter too! He ate even better today so that is a good sign! I just wish I knew of something to cover the last little bit of the hole. Everything I have gotten says not to use on the mucous membranes and it would be very hard to not get anything on the bowel. It isn't very large anymore but you can still see a little. Nothing will stick to this little chick at all and I tried everything I believe! Poor thing has been through alot!
