Proud mama!!! 2-month-old roo trying to crow!!!

Hi all -

I remember reading about the fun many of you had with the first crowing - and now I totally get it! I wish I could record Einar's noise to preserve it for future generations. It's is so incredibly adorable...who knew!?!?!?

two of my little cockerels are crowing now too. It is adorable. sadly, that is my cue to find them homes

There is at least one more cockerel.. maybe 2 more. boo hoo!

I was out watering my vegetable garden this morning, and out of the silence of dawn emerged a proud "cock-a-doodle-do" from Mr. Roo, my 13 week old rooster. As a matter of fact, I heard him crow four times!


Good thing my neighbors enjoy my chickens (and their eggs)...

My Showgirl, Priscilla, started crowing today!! 2 months old and still in the house cuz of the heat. lol! Pam ps- this might get a flame under hubby's butt to help me get those runs finished

One of my little Silkie roos crowed for the first time yesterday! I have other roosters crowing about the yard, but his tiny, pathetic little crow made me quite proud I guess he was feeling manly yesterday, I haven't heard a peep from him since though!

He had been making some strangley sound yesterday. Enough that I went in to see if he was dying. Turned out, just a pre-crow
