Our two poults are being kept in the family room until they either stink us out, or are too big to stay put in their bin. Tonight as my DH and I went upstairs the two of them starting peeping something fierce. It lasted until we returned. They must have missed the sound of our voices.

When we peeked over the edge of their tub, the largest of the two did the big boy strut! I didn't know it (he) was old enough to do that! We only brought them home from the feed store three days ago. The feed store only got them in the day before. I assumed that they were only about a week old. Maybe I was mistaken.

At what age do poults start to do their strut?

It was a proud moment in our family room tonight!

Rosie strutted the first time when she was not quite two weeks old. Rosie has since quite noticeably become the boy while Jefferson is the girl. Don't care, don't care, I still have a breeding pair so life is good even if they do have funny names.
