proud of my chickens! (solved a problem for me)

I've been experimenting with different ways to keep non-frozen water available to my flock all day... they haven't been impressed with my efforts and I was starting to get concerned that maybe they were going to dehydrate! Well, I caught sight of my rooster down by the spring yesterday and, lo and behold, all of the chickens have figured out how to stand on the dry rocks and sip water out of the spring spigot! Hurray! It seems silly, but it's such a relief to me. They manage to stay dry and I've never known the spring to freeze up, so it's a great back-up plan! (Yes, I still want to provide water in the run, but I'm not as worried that they're going to turn into chickendust).
