Puffed up, droopy tail, vent looks weird.

If you don't want to insert your finger up her vent (I can understand why -- it's a very weird experience, but it would be good to get used to it), then you can also gently feel her abdomen. Gently squeeze it between your hand and gradually massage backwards, away from her vent and towards her legs.
This may sound dumb but just making sure the abdomen is under her vent?? Right?

But that's not the route the egg takes.
The intestines are there.
The egg comes from dorsal area:

To feel for an egg you need to use your finger. Glove up if you are that bothered by it but it is something that every chicken caretaker should become familiar with. I personally just use my clean bare hands then double wash and sanitize when I'm completely finished working on a bird.

I've felt eggs back there before from the outside, but I see what you mean.

Yesterday she was completely normal.

She isn't very tame so she wouldn't let me stick mu finger in her vent
They don't let you. You need to bring them to a quiet place, restrain them and gently feel inside for the egg.
There are a lot of bubbles in that poop sample. Can you get a sample to a vet for a fecal float to check for internal parasites?
