Pull or roo Plus intro

Hello and welcome! To me they both look like boys. Plus your GLW has the wrong comb and wrong color legs.. Are you 100% sure that's a wyandotte?
The lady picking them out was fairly certain it was. Haha that be news to me. Oh at least if they are both boys it won’t break my heart to see one of them go lonely for a few months. Next time I’ll get a bunch of chicks not just two. What an amatuer mistake that was.

Hello Countrydreamin.
Welcome to BYC.
That semi self sufficient life style....the amount of work and commitment is staggering if you are going to make it work.
I bet! I’m a keen gardener and love my water tank. Hope for solar panels but I can’t really see myself going too much further than that. “Semi” is used very loosely haha do you run a similar lifestyle?

Hi Susie and welcome to BYC. I agree with your gender conclusions.

On this link you'll find lots of information on almost every aspect of keeping birds - from coop building ideas, to incubating eggs - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archives . Ditto the Learning Centre - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/

This is a useful link of BYC guides to take a look at announcements-feedback-issues-guides.3 I’d suggest including your location using the guide in that link. You can use this link to contact members in your area - Aussie Thread

Best wishes

Ahhh thank you. I tried to scroll around the site originally to find the intro section but couldn’t find it. That pic u posted helps a lot.

Similar with regard to the 'semi' part.:D
I've tried, but the work load to make a good job of it is beyond me now.

Hey there Cheepers. Cool username! They are cute together. It’s going to break my heart when I have to seperate them as they love each other!
I’ve had two hatchmate cockerels fight until they were both at death’s door - they may not be that crazy, but their attitude towards each other is likely to change to some extent once their hormones kick in.

:welcome!!!

I’d say right now the Wyandotte is looking like a rooster, but I would wait a little while to really be sure. I thought ALL THREE of my Wyandottes were roos when they were young, their combs were so big and red. (They have rose combs). They’re all 3 laying now.

You have some beautiful chicks, welcome to BYC!!
Well that’s hopeful. I’m not counting my chickens before they hatch :D probably the lamest joke going round here ?
