Pretty sure the sex linking works either way. And judging by all the people on BYC hoping for pullets, have to disagree with the second part of your statement.You need a GOLD male over a SILVER female for sex links.
Just remember gold is better then silver and male is better then female so gold = male and silver = female.

If you look closer at those males you'll see they're calling them golden not gold.Yes it is! Took me awhile, and it is by no means perfect or user friendly. BUT it is awesome once you figure it out.
SO with that crossing, you will get gold laced males and silver laced females.

The 1st EE looks to be a cockerel. I think the second EE is a cockerel but I heard that EEs get their combs faster than other breeds. The last EE looks to be a girl though!
