You need a GOLD male over a SILVER female for sex links.
Just remember gold is better then silver and male is better then female so gold = male and silver = female.
Pretty sure the sex linking works either way. And judging by all the people on BYC hoping for pullets, have to disagree with the second part of your statement.🤣😊

I don’t know how you use that calculator. It’s so confusing. 😂

Yes it is! Took me awhile, and it is by no means perfect or user friendly. BUT it is awesome once you figure it out. 😊
SO with that crossing, you will get gold laced males and silver laced females.

It only works the one way.

If you look closer at those males you'll see they're calling them golden not gold.
Golden is some times used for males that carry both gold and silver.
Silver is dominate over gold so at hatch a "golden" male will look the same as a silver. Hence why the sex link won't work.
Those males almost always end up having the gold gene bleed through to turn them a yellowish color but that doesn't show for several weeks and by then it's easy to sex them by combs etc.
Make sense?
I can try to explain further if you'd like.

This is a pretty big comb for such a young age.😶But I sure hope it is a girl.:fl
The 1st EE looks to be a cockerel. I think the second EE is a cockerel but I heard that EEs get their combs faster than other breeds. The last EE looks to be a girl though!
I’m just wanting to know because if both are cockerels then I need to rehome 1 of them as I have 2 other cockerels in the coop and don’t really want 4
