Pullet Eggs

Our April Fool babies have just started to lay. Pretty early, Golden Prides. We were just doing some baking and got a very tiny double yolker...then another. They were so cute. I thought double yolkers were big ones. I guess they are just getting the hang of this laying business.

One out of my five new pullets began laying a week ago. She struts around and is very vocal, almost as if she thinks she's some kind of prodigy.

Her first dozen eggs will be a gift to her namesake, my closest neighbor Judy.

Oh aren't they cute though? My Welsummer pullet started laying last Monday and today (Monday!) she laid her fifth egg! No double yolkers but they are just the sweetest little things!
