Pullet is stumbling backwards! Help!

Update, I purchased Duravet Vitamin B Complex Oral Gel. The past two mornings I have given her that as well as some Nutri-drench soaked in some oats. There is Hydro-Hen in all of the girl's water. Everyone is eating medicated starter feed (what they've had since day 1).

Hard to justify improvements, but since she was unable to roost the other night, she seems better. I feel like she has ever so slightly perked up. Still laying down a lot! Still stumbles on occasion, tail down with poor posture. Although, she managed to stick with the flock slightly better last night around the yard but would lay down while they pecked and scratched. She did come over to me when calling the girls for treats at lunch today.

6-7 weeks old

She is eating, drinking, and my wife has seen her poop. However, she has been caught stumbling backwards, toes curled upward into air.

I switched out nutri-drench for Corid (amprolium). Maybe that will help

What about Rooster Booster liquid B-12 plus vitamin k

Go to Walmart, CVS, Dollar General, etc. and pick up a bottle of Vitamin B-Complex and Vitamin E.

Give the chick 1/4 tablet B-Complex and 1 400IU Vitamin E gel cap daily for a few weeks. See if she improves!

You want B2 (Riboflavin) to help with leg support. Vitamin E will help with neurological issues. The remaining B vitamins in the B-Complex also offer key support as well.

  • The Durvet B-Complex you purchased only contains B1(Thiamine) and B12 (Cobalamin).
  • Rooster Booster B12+K is just Cobalamin and K.
  • Poultry Nutri-Drench does not contain B2 (Riboflavin).

See that she's eating a nutritionally balanced chick starter and drinking well. Ditch the Hydro Hen, provide fresh clean water.

Possible she may have something neurological going on, she may also have some type of genetic issue, hard to know.

Please provide photos of her poop when possible.

Corid is a Coccidiostat, it has no antibiotic properties. It's a Thiamine blocker that starves out Coccidia to reduce numbers if you have Coccidiosis in your flock.
