Pullet is throwing head back, doesn't get up and stretches legs out.

I squeezed a bit and an oily clear/yellowish liquid came out. When I squeezed some more I could tell she didn't like it and nothing more came out. It is very hard but the wick doensn't look waxy. Should I continue to try to drain it?

I've been torn for the last few days trying to face the fact that Abby was not going to get better. Her respiratory illness got worse. I brought her to my cat's vet today and he put her down for free for me. I wish I had had the courage to break her neck because she screamed when he put the needle in her and it wasn't as fast as I thought it would be. It took half a minute for her to become unconcious and awhile before her heart stopped. I'm so sad, I can't believe how much I loved her.

I want to thank everyone for all the information and time they put in to try to help little Abby.

it is very difficult to do. I can't put down one of mine either. i tried once, and it didn't go well, and I haven't been able since. You did all you could for her, it always hurts when we lose a little one. Best Wishes.

I'm so sorry - you know there have been four updates to your thread that I never got a notice for, and just got a notice for the one above mine.

I'm so very very sorry.

The oily clear liquid that came out was normal - so it was probably the area around it that was infected.

Again I'm so sorry, and please accept my condelences and hugs.

I try to - I'm so sorry. I don't know why, but sometimes that happens and I check every single message in my email, too. /sigh

If you say something and I don't answer, email me - I'm unpesterable and refuse to consider any questions stupid.
