I went out to the coop tonight to check on my daughters chickens and found peaches, a 4 month old batam faverolle looking dead. She was in a corner on her back with her legs up in the air. I scooped her up and found her still alive, put her down and she tried to walk but was wobbly and held her head down at the ground and her butt up in the air.
Temeratures have been pleasant today, but they were inside. The coop has a chicken wire divider panel to seperate out some younger chickens. Don't know if she got herslf stuck, she was in the corner next to the panel but not in it. There was one egg on the ground, the first egg laid.
Nothing looks wrong but that she is lethargic. No nasal discharge or ordors. Everyone else looks good.
So, any ideas. I have one very upset nine year old. She only has 2 pullet faverolles. Gloria is sitting on her lap in the house right now. I told her it does not look good, I am afraid that she is not going to make it!
