The stance in picture 1 is kind of roosterish and it makes me think of a cockerel, it's legs are also very think like one. So I am leaning more on the roo side. He has nice barring.

I was leaning towards a roo aswell. was just hoping someone could prove me wrong? Oh well, should be able to tell for sure within the next few weeks!

Barred rocks can be sexed by colour. The males are paler than the females, therefore you have a male. The large red comb and wattles are also a good indication.
