Hello
I'd be grateful for opinions about one of our rescued/adopted birds we obtained from an elderly backyard chicken keeper at the age of three weeks in May. We calculate the age as 14/15 weeks old today and presume they are a mixed breed.

He/she was one of eight chicks who arrived with their gorgeous Barred Plymouth Rock "mother" along with two undetermined sexed "teenagers"; to date we have rehomed five cockerel siblings.
Thank you.

I agree with everyone else, that's a pullet. Especially with a single comb, at that age the comb and wattles would be much larger if it were a cockerel.

Thank you all. My thought was that she was (is) a pullet, but I was concerned that I might be missing an obvious male feature or pattern. Many thanks for your time.

Male signs would be curved tail, pointed hackle, wing and tail feathers, thicker/longer legs than same age pullets of the same breed. Larger comb and wattles too but still need to be compared to the same breed.
