Pullet or cockerel 7.5 w wyandotte pearl grey ??

The breeder from whom I got the eggs says probably female. A hobby chicken trader also female. So now I have 2 by 2.

So I did read how they are pooping you can tell the gender. Coco spreads the wings and then poops.. like on this picture.

Pooping style will not tell you gender. That's an individual thing, not a gender thing.

I would hold off a couple of weeks and see how things develop. If the comb/wattles continue to grow and redden quickly, then you will know you have a cockerel.

Never heard of a Peal Grey Wynadotte, I love the color and sticking my neck out (again) Pullet is my guess. I'm looking at the comb/wattle size, pinker but could be heat, the tail not as pointy & I know saddle/hackle don't show up until around 12wks but the tail end feathers looking more round than pointy. I'm probably wrong but please let us know if it crows or lays an egg.

I tried to google that color of Wyandotte but the only thing that came up was this thread. I'm thinking the bird is lavender or maybe blue splash.
