Pullet or Cockerel?

Any chance this could be a pulley? Has a comb put not much of a waddle

At 6-7wks old with that much red.....I'd say cockerel.

Ok thanks, was wondering because the other one has a big waddle. Guess I’m wishful thinking, kids will be crushed to get rid of the cockerels.

It's possible, if both birds are the exact same breed...
...but even same breed - same source can have differences.
Time will tell....but start planning their future and prepare a separate area for when the boys get 'randy' at about 12-16 weeks old.
Tough lessons, especially for kids, but a great opportunity for learning some realities.

The chick in post #11 could still be a pullet. I've had pullets before with quite red combs very young that worried me for a while.

So when can you really be certain? The lack of waddle has me puzzled however I am new to raising chickens..

When they crow...or around 4 months when saddle and hackle feathers will tell the tale.
Wattle size can vary too.

I'd say at this age it's a pretty safe bet that it's a cockerel. Also Easter eggers tend to have less pronounced wattles (but they also tend to have pea combs so I'm not sure what's going on with this little guy)
