Can you tell what kind of cockerel the one in the first picture is?I would put up a Craigslist ad right away. It may take you some time to find a good home for them. Alternatively, you could fix a bachelor pen for them, and decide who to keep once they are older.
At around 15 to 19 weeks, they will began bother the pullets. It can be pretty violent with more than one cockerel.
I think he looks like a mixed breed. A very cute one. He will be quite colorful. Can you tell what kind of cockerel the one in the first picture is?
Do you think that could be a cream leghorn cockerel? The other one is obviously a hen but I can't remember which were which.I think he looks like a mixed breed. A very cute one. He will be quite colorful.
That is an excellent idea. I will give him a call tomorrow. He was so nice. He could probably at least point me in the right direction. Thank you!!Did you ask if the farm where you bought them would take the males back?
I meant Legbar. Please excuse my ignorance. I bought several books and am researching constantly. I'm not new to farm animals, or having chickens persay, however this the first flock of my own.Do you think that could be a cream leghorn cockerel?
