These ladies or gentlemen are about 9 wks old, although I feel like it has been so much longer. Maybe my math is wrong, but they were hatched around April 19th.
The first two were sold as Ameraucanas, but I think may just be an EE. The red one looked like a chipmunk at first and has become beautiful red, the other was just a dark fluffy chick and has stayed more compact than some of my even younger ones. Both are my most standoffish.
Any guesses on gender?
one pic of them at about 6 wks, too

They look to be pullets at this point, especially the dark bird. The red bird is almost the typical female EE color pattern, but there are some reddish/fox blocks on her wings that concern me a little...and the comb is a bit precocious for a pea comb at 10/11 weeks.

So, I think you've got two pullets, but wait a couple of weeks to be certain.

If the red color blocks deepen on the red bird, that may be a rooster....but hen feathered so far.

...and yes. Those are Easter Eggers, not Ameraucana.
