Looks like a cockerel, but a very crisp photo that shows the feathering on the back better will confirm.

That's a great shot, of a wing...
Try again, but this time, don't hold the bird. Hands tend to get in the way.
The angle you had in the last full body shot was good, but it was just too out of focus.

I think I see some pointy male saddle feathers coming in on the back...

Well, it turned out to be a cockerel, he started crowing this morning so I had to rehome him. Found him a good home though
