Thank you! Is it because of the long rounded feathers hanging down near the flank? Are those what everyone's calling saddle feathers? I'm new to chickens this year and started them all as day olds or week olds, sorry for my lack of knowledge, but I'm learning , thanks to all of you on here ❤

If it helps. Take a white piece of paper and put one of those feathers over the paper. It is it rounded it’s a pullet, pointed it’s a cockerel.
But the comb is still small and pink, and there are no splotched of rusty colored feathers in her feather pattern.
