Hi, this is my first time raising chickens and I need to know about one of them. We have 8 chickens all 12 weeks old now. They all vary in sizes. We have 2 Golden Lakenvelder chickens. One is fairly small and doesn't have much of a comb. The other has a comb and wattle. It also crows but doesn't have the sickle shaped saddle feathers or any spurs on her legs. I read that some breeds, in the absence of a rooster, the hens will crow. Our neighbors across the creek have a rooster that crows constantly and I don't know if she is answering him. I'm adding a couple of pictures so that I can find out once and for all if its a rooster or a hen. Shes the golden with the comb in the pictures. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
