You can collect bugs like Japanese beetles when they are abundant and store them in the freezer. I use a container like cottage cheese. Cut an X on the lid to shove them in. Storage is great if you have a vacuum sealer.

You can buy bags that collect japanese beetles and then you tie it and freeze it. Then you will have free bugs to feed your chickens.

I feed mine dubia roaches and they absolutely love them because they are bigger than the usual meal worms that everyone feeds their chickens.

Not sure where your located. I'm in the Midwest. Spring early summer they are abundant here. Chewing up plants.

They have oyster shell available when they want it. they haven't laid yet. they should be very soon though
