PER REQUEST - UPDATED FOR PICS OF SADDLE/TAIL FEATHERS. These were taken today, so they are 1wk older than before. But
JUST the tail/saddle feathers are new pics. And I can get other angles, new shots, etc etc etc if needed. THANKS!!!

I posted before on just the PR, GLW, and BA, but almost a month has passed, so I thought I would post some updated pics (plus my EEs).

The original post is here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=315665&p=1

I
never did see another post from WalksWithDog (who wanted to see younger pics of the PRs). They are posted in the original post.

Regardless, here are my updated pics:

The Teenager. The oldest (10, maybe even 11 weeks). I'm pretty sure pullet.

The younger BA. 9-10 weeks. I think pullet also, but comb/wattles/ears are a teensy bit redder than The Teenager.

Bea Arthur (single comb GLW. 9-10wks). Yeah, this just SCREAMS rooster. If "she" lays an egg, I'll be shocked.
But he sure is pretty...

Betty White (rose comb GLW, 9-10wks). Not sure. What do you think?

And here are the two GLWs side by side (body shot) at 10-11wks:

PR #1 (9-10wks, Twin to PR #2 who is ill but is improving). WalksWithDog though boy. Still think so?

All the EEs are 8wks (for sure).

EE #1 The Leader

EE #2 Nugget (very late feathering as chick)

EE #3 Greywing

EE #5 Cupcake (also very late feathering as a chick)

These are my thoughts on them:

1. BA - "The Teenager" PULLET
2. BA - #2 PULLET
3. GLW - "Bea Arthur" (thought was roo, round saddle feathers?) UNKNOWN
4. GLW - "Betty White" (thought was pullet, pointy saddle?) UNKNOWN
5. PR (and the sicko twin) - PULLET
6. EE - "Leader" PULLET
7. EE - "Nugget" (late feathering) Likely ROO
8. EE - "Greywing" PULLET
9. EE - "Anonymous" (seems to have partridge colour?) PULLET
10. EE - "Cupcake" (very late feathering, please please please be female) UNKNOWN

Oh great BYC forum members, WHAT SAY YOU???

I am not voting, but you have great birds and great pictures. I know that debate girl vs boy at this 8 week period. I am having some of the same, how much red is too much. Those late feather growing ones....how much should I worry they are roos? I know they are not crowing beyond that, I still look and debate

If color of comb is REAL important in EE I would look at Nugget as a question.. The comb is redder then the others. Of course, I am a total newbie, and only have pictures on BYC and my own 3 week old EE chicks to compare to. They are ALL beautiful! Especially the GLW with black/.orange feathers you think may be a roo.

At this age, I do start sexing based on those saddle feathers. You did a wonderful job of getting head shots -- - could we see those back side shots? ?

I'll see if I can get some back views in the next few days. Y'all really think they may ALL be pullets except the single comb GLW Bea Arthur and the EE Nugget? I really want Bea to be a girl, the feather colour is just lovely.

Sorry I've been offline a LOT! Shed roof disaster, puppies fostering, bottle calf, been crazy add in killer migrains, I was just sort of gone. That's probably a PR pullet and the other poster is right tail feathering is a good clue in PRs too.

Your PRs are pullets. I'm 100% sure of it. Mine was so obviously a boy already at 4 weeks old. He had a huge red comb and not much feathering. His tail took forever to feather in. He walked upright and sqwuaked.
See at 5 weeks;
