It's time to play PULLET OR ROO??? (GLW, BA, & PR) UPDATED PICS - #16

Curious to know what you find out. I'm still trying to determine if my PR is a boy or girl at 5 weeks.

Updated Pics. These are taken about ten days after the initial pics. I got all of them on 5 Mar, but they were 10-14 days old then (and the BA "Teenager" was 2-3wks).

Black Australorps are now 7-8 weeks old. They are looking more alike and I'm having a hard time (in pics) telling which is the older one. Teenager is the bigger one and older by maybe a week or so. Their combs are both still yellow, though they have red wattles. I'm still thinking that they are both pullets now.

The Partridge Rock twins (Rue and Estelle, whenever I can figure out which one is which). Maybe 6 weeks now. I have a VERY hard time telling them apart. They both have combs that are the same size and colour. The pics make it look like one has a divided comb, but it is just feather placement. An earlier poster said that their feather development over the shoulders was indicative of males. Are they still looking masculine?

The Gold Laced Wyandottes, also around 6wks. Rose comb is Betty White and single comb is Bea Arthur. If Bea isn't a rooster, I will be *S*H*O*C*K*E*D*. Red comb, lovely hackles, etc. S/he'll be pretty. Not sure about Betty because of the rose comb, but similar hackles.

The first 2 austalops look just like my girls so I am going to say pullets the others I am not sure but the first 2 are looking like pullets to me I think that their combs would be going pink if they were roo's by this age just mho

Here is what I say
Both BA are pullets
GLW ( rose comb) pullet
GLW (single comb) roo
Rocks I really don't know yet. They are getting bigger combs but they are still yellow so I would wait a while and see on them.

As for the hackle feathers, they are all too young to have those. The lacing and coloration on the chicks make them look like they are pointy but if you pick up only one feather I bet it is rounded.

Howdy -

I updated in a new post since I posted pics of my EEs as well. The link is here:

I'm still not sure what to think about the PR's. One is ill and may not make it. The other is pictured in the new post. They both still look exactly alike. I'm going to try this weekend to get some back and tail views as requested. I'll post those in the newer post (above).
