Country Companion layer pellets from Cal Ranch. I think the maker of it is Neutrena? Idk my neighbor has raised chickens for a long time and suggested it.

Ok interesting thought. I’ve fed my girls the pellets many times no problem but switched to crumbles cause I thought they liked it more. The last couple bags were powdery and I felt a lot was wasted so I went back to pellets.

Could that affect her egg laying? Like some kind of strike to get the crumbles back?

Chickens don't like change, so any stressor, big or small, can affect laying. It's not because she's on strike.
