So my cinnamon queen pullet has this barking cough that sounds terrible! I felt her crop and it felt mushy with some little hard pieces in it(?), most likely from scratch, though I don't have much experiences with crops to know what they are supposed to feel like. It's hard to get it on video because she'll only cough every couple minutes and it's usually just something quick.
All input is appreciated! Thanks!

If you can get a video that would be great! Upload to the BYC Gallery.

It may be she has some food/water in the windpipe and/or nostrils and is trying to cough it up.
Any lesions or canker inside the beak?
How long has she been making the noise?

Do you provide Grit (Crushed Granite) for your flock?

Best way to gauge the crop is to check first thing in the morning before they have had anything to eat/drink, see if it's empty. If it's not, then address that symptom according to the article below.
