Her flock is kept away from the birds that she does sell, but she does not care for bio security. Birds are constantly coming in from many different sources and then being sold at auction or to people who come to the farm.

Even if I could convince her to euthanize the infected flock she wouldn’t sterilize the area she would keep the next flock.

This cockerel came in recently from who knows where. He is a mix. But why is his comb two different colors?

A long over due update to this thread but here it is.
A few months ago I contacted my boss asking her if she still had the Red Sex Link pullet, she said that she was able to get her back to the peak of health and found her a new owner. I know that means that either the pullet died or my boss sent her to auction.
I’m kicking myself that I didn’t rescue her. She was such a sweet bird, she didn’t deserve this life. I called her Honey and she would respond. I wish I could have done more for her.
