Pullets biting my hand?

My girls keep knocking their feeder over, so when I go to pick up they bite my hand. Its not even a peck its a bite? I put a glove on because it kinda hurts. What do I do? I don't want to be scared of my chickens.

mine do it also..think cause they still young and dont know better as of yet

Mine bite but they didn't start to open thier beaks wide and get a pinch until about two days ago. Before that they just pecked. I hope they grow out of it soon. My chickies are just over 2 weeks old.

Chicky biting has always been a problem with me.

Whenever i go to change the food, I always had half the group jumping on my hands, trying to pry the skin off my fingers. I solved the problem though ;]

Every time they bit or pecked, I would wiggle my hands and yell ouch. Then i would take my hands out and try again. Soon they realised that if they hurt me, they wouldnt get any food, and had to wait for more.
