pullets dead after laying eggs

I have over 60 chickens. It isn't the same bag of food. Unless they had a bad batch, but then I'd have dead chickens and ducks everywhere.

Eating a lot of feed could be a sign of worms or mite infestation. Have you checked them for parasites? Any pale combs?

I have, and don't see any signs of worms or mites. Doesn't mean they don't have either, but I don't see any sign of them. They lay really regular as well. Pretty much each girl lays at least every other day, even in these short days, and the White leghorns rarely miss a day at all.

Don't worms and or mites cut back or stop egg production?

Maybe I'll dust them anyway for mites.
combs look normal

Forgive me for reviving the thread, but I found this while looking for information about something else. Did you have anymore problems? Were the hens prolapsed?
