Hello guys!

Ok I believe these pictures might be ready for determining the gender of my 6 personal chicks. There are other around them but I got 12 from tractor supply (buff orp hens) and 9 silkies from a great farm called Dunham Farm in Texas. Pretty cool pure breeds and great quality

Numbers 1,2,3,4 are 4weeks
Numbers 5,6 are 3weeks

3 & 4 wks old are pretty young to guess at unless we could see & watch them in person, but just to "drive you crazy" until they are 6 or more wks old: be on the lookout for a "possible" roo chickie showing a pinker, bigger comb & beginning wattles at jaw line on either side. That should keep you guessing & practicing your keen eye at spotting a roo during your wait for the older age that shows more of the upright stance, pink/red comb & wattles, difference in fullness of wings, bigger legs/feet, tails, baby rooster behaviors & the inevitable crowing attempts. When I bought 3 one-day old Speckled Sussex pullets at the feed store this year; it was obvious to me, after all these years, that the last one they put in the box for me was a roo, darn it. Have fun with your beautiful chickies. Best wishes, from a self-proclaimed "chicken see-er" (Ha!).
