I would defiantly wait another month and look for saddle feathers.

Defiantly has the face of a cockerel and very red comb and face,if you click on the image it is better up close.

NOOOOO! I hope not! We bought them all sexed and I hope we don't have to get rid of any of them. My husband doesn't want any Roos around with our kids and dogs. I thought (based on one other set of SLW we had in the past) that SLW got red combs and waddles sooner than some other breeds. Although I kind of have a hunch based on the coloring of the neck feathers... *sigh*

Roosters are very good protection,raised right yous shouldn't worry about any accidents between your kids and the dogs,although even good raised roosters can become very lure and anxious around kids and may go off the edge after so long.
