Pullets or Roosters?

We have two hatchery SLWs that we worried were roos because they were red in the combs and wattles at an early age. But all of our worrying was for naught as they both are girls! I wouldn't base the sex determination of your two SLWs at this point on their combs/wattles. I would watch for pointy saddle feathers to start appearing if they are roos.

Here are pics of one of our girls at 10 weeks and just over 14 weeks. She is now 26 weeks old and at POL, finally!

Actually I only see one Araucana and two mutts.

Araucanas have willow colored legs, not slate. You're thinking Ameraucanas.

Past that - I see two SLW boys.

Again...Im not in USA. We have no Ameracaunas, and we are both right. QUOTED from The Crested Breeds of Australia Club:
(and what I meant in my post is that the 3rd one is the only pure araucana

Their colouring of the legs and toes is dependant of the colour of the plumage, all araucana have legs that are willow to olive or slate colouring, the only exception is the Cuckoo whose legs and feet are white with blue spots.
