Yes.
I use a battery powered puck light.
Turn it on an hour before dusk, turn it off when you lock up just after dark.
How soon will the new coop be done?

Meant to have it done already. I'm thinking 2 weeks at the most.

Thanks everyone. Never occurred to me it was too dark, but I bet it is. I'll make sure the new one has some windows for light. I meant to have the coop done by now but my husband has been sick, so we didn't get started on it, but it should be fairly quick to build and quite large (for 4 little chickens) and we can leave them in for some time while working on the run.
