Pumpkin Seeds?

I think this is the right thread to post this question in? still new..
the family is carving jack-o-lanterns tonight. saving the guts for my flock. but do I need to shell the seeds before giving them to my nuggets?

I just toss it all to the birds. No need to do anything with it.

They’re good to have them- love them really. Just gutted a pumpkin with mine a few hours ago. I let them stick their heads in the hole to help lol.

I agree with the first poster that there is no need to shell your pumpkin seeds.

Since they do not have teeth, chickens use their gizzard to grind up seeds and such so they can digest the good stuff inside. No reason to hull those seeds.
