I just thought I would post a follow up on this... I was giving the girls a bunch of the squash daily for a while, but still have a wheelbarrow load left under the snow. I have to say that I have never seen their poop look that perfect in the winter so I think the squash possibly eliminated a lot of worms? I think it's time to dig out a bunch of the squash and break them open with an ax and give them some more. They are also more active than usual for this time of year and are eating and drinking more as a result. I think previously they spent more time huddling up when it was cold out?
