We will be carving our pumpkins soon. Is it okay to feed pumpkin seeds to my hens?

Yes it is. It's not only okay but its recommended. The pumpkin seed act like a natural wormer.

My gals have been getting rejects from the garden and a couple of pumpkins that had been attacked by a very obnoxious ground squirrel I have thrown in the pen. They loved it!

Now if I could throw the ground squirrel in their pen....... Never mind they would eat him as well!

Mine just can't wait for the treat they will get on Nov. 1. I have 2 pumpkins that I will cut in half and give them to demolish. They will eat them down to the rind.

They should be quite happy with them! We have been giving ours half pumpkins, i have some uncooked seeds left from craving to give them too.. amazing how well they can peck down a pumpkin.
