Puncture wounds on beak

Hello, my male goose has a problem sticking his nose where it doesnt belong. Like through the chain linked fence to taunt my dog. They usually banter back and forth harmlessly but today our 9 yr old boy was trying to shoo the goose away from the fence and inadvertently escalated the situation.

Anyways our dog put two puncture holes on either side of the gooses beak right behind the mouth opening. There is no blood from the holes and the goose did not go into shock. He just ran off mad and honking. I watched for a while and he has been behaving normally.

Will these holes close up on there own?
Will he be able to drink without water leaking out them?
Will it get infected even though there was no blood but obviously a hole clean through the bill.

Could you post a picture of the injury? It’s hard to say without actually seeing the damage.

They have already closed significantly. It looks like he is going to be fine. But I did notice the tip of his bill is very scuffed

He’s looking great! Those scuffs will heal eventually. It’s like a damaged fingernail, it just has to grow out.

When my gander stuck a hole in his bill I did put ACV into the bucket of water it can kill some bacteria. 1 Tab to each gallon
