puppie lacking minerals?

Your dog can choke on anything you let them chew on. But if you don't let them chew on anything, they will either find something to chew or develop gum disease. I've never had a problem with hooves or natural bones, but I've had a dog choke on rawhide. In general, dogs can eat any raw bone, cooked pork or beef bones, but never cooked poultry bones. You have to know your dog before leaving them unsupervised with something to chew on, but they need to chew

Thanks everyone! Y'all gave me a lot of great ideas. I didn't think about the teething but he is doing that right now. I have an older dog he plays with as well at my almost 2 year old son. He is the first forgivable had who has a sensitive stomach. It took us over a month to find him a quality food he can eat without issues so I have been very hesitant to allow him raw hides. I've never had a problem with my other dogs and rawhide in just being cautious with him. I will be getting.him some chew toys at the store this week. Thanks everyone!!

See that's the personal choice, I chose rawhides, it's more natural than plastic bones, I chose appropriate sizes, made in America, and supervise there chewing.
Just know they don't digest, and can easily cause blockages. Two months ago my parents lost a dog to blockage from a "appropriate" size rawhide. Pizzles digest, are natural and take some time to chew.

What about the KONG ? I dont think they can chew anything off those but i could be wrong ? I just cant give my dogs pizzles. grosses me out. lol They loved the pig ears but did get choked on one.

I've never heard of KONGS being an issue. They are really durable, and you can put treats in them. There a lot of different KONG brand products too, that would probably work for you if the original doesn't for some reason.

They are pretty indestructible but sometimes dogs can chew them up also. I wouldn't leave the dog alone with any type of toy if you know they are chewers. (For example, my dog is generally fine with soft toys when she's alone but things that have treats or food in it I don't trust her with because she'll chew the toy up to get them). The red kongs are good for a lot of dogs but they have black kongs for dogs that are rough chewers. (Those can still be chewed up though, so just supervise, supervise, supervise!)
