Puppies with Coccidiosis ???

DH came home and grabbed two baggies of poo to run to the vet while he was out on a service call

I sent one of the yucky poos and one that was normal

Vet has already called back and said they are ruleing out Coccidia and parvo ( we already knew that was not a problem ) but they said a few pups seem to have worms - our vet calls them " Nursing Worms " ( I am guessing he means something like hook worm )

so DH ran back to vets on his lunch break and picked up some stuff to give all the pups -- it is pretty thick and is yellow and smells kinda like cake batter LOL they are to get it once a day for the next 2 weeks.

so I have already done the first treatment today they seem to really really like this stuff

hopefully in a few weeks they will be back to normal

Oops, I see that you figured it out! ... Well nursing worms means that momma passed the worms through her milk I believe, worm everything in sight is the deal..

I was going to suggest feeding a food without chemicals, by-products, and dyes; but see you already have your answer. Still, a better food would help in strengthening the immune system. Just a thought. Glad to know things will be fine with your young ones.

Yeah, You need to take a fecal sample to the vet he will sell you a small quantity of Albon for probably $15.00 or so, that you can treat the pups with Otherwise Albon in large containers is expensive and you have to have a Vet prescribe it anyway.
