Puppy pics! Help us choose one (video pg 2)

Do you have to pick now? I would wait until they are 7 weeks and pick based on personality, not looks.

We're trying to put off making a choice as long as possible, but I'm sure we won't be able to wait 7 weeks. The two people ahead of us have already picked theirs, and the four people behind us are getting anxious. We told the breeder we'd like a couple more weeks.

You are asking the wrong person, my pug had 3 puppies last month and we are keeping them all.

Ohhhh! I used to have a blue merle...he was 175#, big boy and awesome. Course the mantles are beautiful too. Double check on the mostly white pups, though, they are known for a high rate of disability. Was the father a harlequin?

Aren't the white males more likely to be deaf? It's something like that, but not sure of the color. They are all so adorable! I love blues-I'm a sucker for blue!

Yes, the white or almost all white pups; whether male or female are much more succeptible to both deafness and blindness b/c they often carry a double recessive gene that is transmitted via harlequin heritage.
They are all cuties though, and even those that are deaf &/or blind can be very sweet dogs if provided a stable, secure, calm environment and plenty of attention, patience and training.

All you can pick now is by color... and that is the worst possible thing to pick by. I am surprised the breeder is promising people puppies this early with absolutely no regard to temperment.

if they are pushing you to pick now, then i'd tell them no thank you and look at a different litter.
