Not a stupid question but what I have read says 2 chicks do develop separetly but dont know if anyone has been successful with hatching though. You could do a search on BYC for more info as I have never set one.

If anyone else is interested I am still getting lots of eggs and still have alot available. I gave a freind enough to fill bator and he had a good hatch. About half of the chicks were red with some having stripes. there was also alot of brown chipmunk striped chicks. Other colors included deep dark brown, buff and some whites. A few of these also had stripes. These will all be large chickens and great layers. Should make a pretty flock since most the reds were very dark red.

We may be interested, we are going over to the feedstore later this week to look at incubators. Do you still have eggs available? I am especially interested in the Americana's.

Yes I still have lots of eggs available and get ameracauna eggs in blue, green and pink. I do not have a rooster in this breed as I dont want to breed them and just keep the hens for colored eggs. The roosters running with them will be what I have listed.
