Pure Australorp or imposter??

I think I may have an imposter. These were supposed to be Austalorps but this one has brown coloring on the chest. Is this normal or is it a mix??? Thanks

That looks like a female black sexlink, so a mix, yes.

Well, I wanted more breeds so that's ok. I'll have to check all the others. I bought 7 as australorps. Maybe I have a sexlink roo too and can breed. Do you know what to look for in a sexlink roo?

Black Sexlink roosters are barred[white striped]. they're the result of breeding a RIR or NHR rooster to a barred rock hen. though technically any non-barred roo on barred hen would give the same result of barred males and nonbarred females.

If that chick does turn out to be male it is likely a Black Copper Marans, but I don't see any gold on the back of the neck, so sexlink is more likely.

Thanks. I just went and checked them. The rest look like australorps. (I think) thats the only one with brown.
