After some thought, I have my response.

Even it if causes me business, I think I would keep the scriptures on the website. There's scriptures in the Bible that state that if we are ashamed of Christ, then He is ashamed of us.

Please don't feel that me, or Purely Poultry, is not considering and respectful of others' opinions. I personally don't force anything onto other people, but I do make my beliefs known.

That is a very common misperception these days. It runs totally contrary to Scripture however. Rather than get off-topic here, I'll simply refer you to this link:

http://www.grace-ministries.org/site/audiodownloads.asp?sec_id=1639&dlyear=0&dlcat=Sunday+Morning .

It’s the Sunday Morning, 3/22 teaching entitled “Christ's Love for Children”. The message goes into great detail and makes specific mention of the various applicable Scriptures that dispel that common misbelief.

God Bless,

I can only speak for myself but I do not think that either of you are being disrespectful or inconsiderate but letting your beliefs be known is one thing, plastering it all over a hatchery/poultry business site is another IMO.

I think if your religion is that important to you and apparently it is (and that is fine) then market yourself to people that like to deal with businesses with a strong religious background/mission. It is just another niche market and there are people out there that will choose you over Murray or Ideal because of it. Will the business ever be as big as Murray or Ideal? Maybe and maybe not. You will have to commit to it and see. I think you may really have something going for you if you do. People like grass roots operations and they like dealing with people instead of computers and if you can get clientele that has similar beliefs as you then they will want to do business with you. I admire people making a living doing what they love. I think you just need to find a more cohesive way of doing it. Talk to people in your community and/or church and get them to look at it and see what they think.

Maybe have a tag line or something that says we are a company with christian values and believe in honesty and..... (I am not religious so I don't really know what you would say) but something like that. Maybe change your business colors to something more light and airy and spiritual?

Oh I do not know if I have been any help? Good Luck

It appears to me alot of valuable time was wasted putting up the wrong pictures. I spent two min on the sight and thought is he selling God or chickens. Cant say much else I may return to the site if i could find as much info about chickens as scripture

I'm not sure what religion you are, but it seems very un-Christian to me for someone to purposely mis-lead customers by allowing them to believe that you actually breed poultry. I think it should clearly state on your website that you are drop-shipping from other hatcheries.
I realize that most mail-order hatcheries drop-ship under their own name from one or two of the bigger operations, but I don't know of any others that go as far as to openly promote Christian values while purposely hiding the truth from potential customers. I guess I still believe that just because everyone else is doing it, doesn't make it right.
I tend to agree with some of the earlier posters that if you need to advertise that you are a Christian, then there is something wrong with the way you are doing business.

I've never drop-shipped chicks and never will.

Matt

This thread is getting so hostile.

If the owner of Purely Poultry wants to put bible verses on his site, it's his decision.

It might not be everyone's cuppa tea, but everyone also has the right to leave his site and shop elsewhere.

I think there's a lot of constructive things that could be said about this person's site without having to address the bible verses if he doesn't want to talk about them.

Yes Mountain, it does appear to be getting hostile doesn't it? Isn't it ironic how much hatred the Word of God can generate? Well, not really given that Scripture itself says that the Word is hated and that darkness hates light.

What you're seeing here is just the evidence.

God Bless,
