Am a little late to this thread but I've seen the same thing with FR and think the ingredients vary(first 3 are listed as 'products') as well as the manufacturing process can have glitches. Have seen varying colors and texture, once got some dusty stuff once with chunks of compressed feed....figured - mixer glitch.I'm a bit confused, I just picked up 2 bags of Purina Flock Raiser, from TSC, when I emptied them into my storage bin, they were different colors, one greyish, the other beige. What's up? It shouldn't matter which plant manufactured it, if using the same ingredients/formula, right? Actually looks like the layer/raiser blend, I did previously.

Never had any problem with them eating it<shrugs>none dropped dead or got sick.
