I just introduced my 2 month old chicks Qty 16 to the larger adult flock. They are adjusting great. My question is the food. I have their medicated food out there and the adult hens are snacking on it. Should I be concern about collecting the eggs for eating. Are the eggs safe to eat if some of the adult hens are eating Purina medicated start and grow?

The active ingredient in that is Amprolium in a dosage suitable to help reduce the chance of Coccidiosis becoming a problem. It does not guarantee that Coccidiosis will not become a problem but helps your odds a lot.

The USDA has determined there is no withdrawal period required for eggs or meat with Amprolium in that dosage. To translate that into real English, the eggs are good to eat.
