Purple Beak

What does it mean when my 2 week old wyandotte girl has a purple mark in the middle of its beak that takes up 40% of the beak?

Please dont say boy

Sorry, I'm not much help, but if it makes you feel better my 3 week old Barred Rocks have that coloring on their beaks too. They are from my pet chicken, they have been sexed, but that doesn't mean the "sexer" wasn't having a bad day.

I'll be curious to see what others have to say.

Well thanks for the input. You said they were sexed? Male or females?

When I saw that, they were talking about parakeets or something so I am not going to get too nervous yet. But I am realllly hoping it will be a female so I can keep her, we have grown quite close

And I live in town so fingers crossed!!!

Also, I doubt this relates but she does wipe her beak back and forth on things every now and then but so does my other one with a normal colored beak.
