Purple Blackshoulder Chicks

Is there a difference between blue or purple black shoulder chicks color wise? I know they are cream, but do they get the same black feathers after a few weeks? Or do I have to wait until they are older to see a difference?

Until they are 8 months old when male chick will have both new brown belly feathers and purple neck feathers mixed with immature feathers.
