Purple comb, yellow slimy poo

More info... She is talking a little bit and walking around, which isn't new, but her tail is pumping ever so slightly. She it's pooping, but urates and liquid mostly. She's mostly stands with her eyes closed. Her head doesn't stink. Her comb is darker purple today. Wings are still dropped, sick girl. I feel bad because I feed her yesterday.

She has never been wormed and is only 7 months old. How do I get a float with liquid poo? Test the urates? Should I go ahead and worm her?

Should I feed some eggs? Electrolytes or probiotics in water?

I agree with using paper towels, say in a dog crate to confine her and get some droppings into a plastic bag, to take in for a fecal test. While waiting, call around to some local vets and make sure one will test them. She should not be molting at 7 months—normally it does not occur until they are around 18 months old. Her dark comb is a bad sign. I would offer her water often, and if you can get Poultry NutriDrench, Poultry Cell, or other electrolytes with vitamins, use them . The NutriDrench dosage is 2-3 ml daily. Wyorp Rock has give good info on crop problems, but she may be sick from another underlying problem. Since she has stopped laying, I would suspect a reproductive problem. Try to keep her hydrated with water and electrolytes. I hope she gets better soon.

I would still lean toward her having a reproductive problem.

I just don't feel anything at all except skin and bones underneath. All out my girls except one red hen has stopped laying. We're in Missouri and have had pretty cold temps and avoid lately, so I thought it was normal for them to stop. She had only laid 1-2 eggs before winter weather. I'm so sad she's sick. She does sneeze occasionally, so maybe a respiratory infection? No drainage. For now, I've removed food and an giving her Save-a-chick electrolyte water, massaging crop. I'll try to get a stool sample. Problem is I work from 11-8 today. My hubby will check on her and massage her crop when he gets home around 5.

I'm glad you can see a vet!

There is no droppings test that I know of that can diagnose a reproductive disorder.
A vet can do an exam, x-ray to see if there is anything in the abdomen, etc. Most of the time, you have to go by symptoms.

Please keep us posted on what the vet says, I hope she gets better soon.
